About

The Ekill/Elive tool provides easy access to an advanced feature that allows you to deactivate elements or entire components in the selected analysis time step. To meet the needs of users we have also implemented the possibility of automatic deactivation of contact elements that are assigned to the body so that they do not cause convergence problems.

Using Ekill/Elive command combination user has the ability to re-activate elements or components in subsequent time steps.

One of the main advantages of the tool is a function that checks your license version so that information about incompatibility of the command with the license version is given at the beginning of the analysis and does not cause interruption of the analysis due to an incorrectly selected license version*.

* Ekill command works only in Ansys Enterprise and Premium.

Advantages and Savings
