For Simulation Workflow Building and Process Automation the core is to connect Ansys, any 3rd party and inhouse tools
to automated simulation workflows. The graphical programming and the flexibility of how connections, loops and
conditions can be set up enables you to represent and manage your simulation processes. Open interfaces support to
integrate algorithms or solver nodes.
optiSLang supports GUI-supported interfacing to any software tool used in virtual product development which can be
externally called and support input parameter update and response parameter extraction. Ansys optiSLang supports
binary interfacing with major CAE software tools used in virtual product development, others can be connected via e.g.
scripting, text-based interfaces, C++ plugins or python based add-ins.
Add-Ins
optiSLang extensions can be of the following type:
Integration - Solver type addin, e.g. to connect simmulation software,
Wizard - Solver wizard for the rapid and easy creation of workflows,
Algorithm - Addin to expose methods, e.g. for the purpose of optimization or robustness analysis to Ansys
optiSLang,
Metamodel - Addin to expose alternative external surrogate models to Ansys optiSLang, which can then be used in
the MOP competition,
File Access - Extension of the Central File Registration of Ansys optiSLang
ETK - Extension of the Extraction Tool Kit (ETK) interface
Alternative search paths for the location of Add-Ins can be specified in the optiSLang Settings.

Installed Add-Ins
This package is an extension to optiSLang. It contains several Add-ins which support the direct connection and convenient use of the many tools. Please have a look into documentation for a list.
